This weekend the Mexican Grand Prix of Formula 1 is celebrated and the drivers of the top category of motorsport have already begun to arrive in the capital of the country. One of the first to do so was the Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas from Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
Bottas arrived in Mexico City on Monday and, accompanied by his wife Tiffany Cromwell, dedicated Tuesday to touring the city. Through Instagram Stories, he shared images of some sites in the capital, highlighting his visit to the taquería El Califa de León, located in the San Rafael neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc borough, recognized with a Michelin star. At the place, the driver enjoyed tacos de carne asada, his favorite dish, and did not hesitate to sit on the curb to savor his meal.
Despite projecting a cold personality, Bottas is one of the drivers favored by Mexican fans due to the affection he shows for the country every time he visits Mexico, whether to compete or enjoy a vacation, as he recently did in Los Cabos.
Another driver in Mexico is the Argentine Franco Colapinto from the Williams team. Through Instagram Stories, he posted an image of some conchas accompanied by the message "I love them!! Viva, dude," showing his taste for this sweet bread, something that many Mexicans identify and appreciate.
